# How do I understand the government market?

> Ask who wins contracts, who buys, which tenders are open and who has permits or risks.

Brein has public data from Mexico: **tenders**, **awards** (contracts granted, since 2014), **permits**, **risks** and **suppliers** with government contracts. Your assistant queries them for you. It is public evidence: you consult it, it is not yours until you save it.

## Requests that work

**Who wins**

> Who wins the uniform contracts and how much has each one won?

**Who buys**

> Which agencies buy the most cleaning and how much did they spend this year?

**Whom an agency buys from**

> Whom does IMSS buy uniforms from?

**Whom a company sells to**

> Whom has the company with RFC XAXX010101000 sold to?

**How it changed**

> Compare this year with last year in medicines.

**How direct**

> How much is awarded directly in cleaning? And how much do small businesses win?

**What is open today**

> Which security tenders are open and until when?

**Permits and risks**

> Who received energy permits in Nuevo León?

> Check whether these RFCs appear on official risk lists.

## How to read the answers

* An **award** is a contract granted, not a payment.
* Figures come from server calculations, not from the model.
* Each fact carries its source. Ask: "give me an example with its contract number".
* An empty result does not prove it does not exist: ask it to check how the agency name is written.
* Appearing in an importers registry does not prove what a company buys today.

## Save it

> Make an analysis of who wins cleaning at IMSS and save it.

An **Analysis** opens next to the chat with its figures, and you can read it weeks later with its date. You can ask it to keep it up to date.

## From here to your customers

Suppliers that win contracts are possible customers. Ask: "build a List with who decides at these five companies". Continue in [prospecting](/work/prospect).
